Are you a musician, dancer, poet, or performer looking to take your creative journey to the next level?

Join Rangatahi On Stage - YANZ’s network of emerging artists who gain access to paid gigs, creative projects, and professional opportunities across Aotearoa.

Whether you’re just starting out or already performing regularly, ROS is a space for rangatahi artists of all levels to grow, connect, and share their mahi with real audiences.

‍

What it means to join the ROSter

Being part of the ROSter connects you to a supportive community of young creatives shaping the future of live performance.

We match artists with paid opportunities that celebrate youth creativity and bring life to public spaces, festivals, and events.

You’ll be considered for gigs ranging from small pop-up performances to large-scale festivals - and you’ll be supported by the YANZ team every step of the way.

While we can’t guarantee work for everyone yet, we’re especially focused on opportunities in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland as our network continues to grow.

‍

The kinds of gigs you could be part of

Our performers have lit up stages and streets across Aotearoa, including:

  • Sound of Our Streets - a youth performance festival that brought over 40 musicians and 100 hours of live music to Auckland’s streets.
  • America’s Cup & Prada Cup Performances - 89 gigs across 25 days for 30 young musicians performing to a global audience.
  • Tania Dalton Foundation Gala - a powerful string performance that blended classical and contemporary music.
  • Young at Art, 38 Hurstmere Summer Series, Christmas on Queen Street, and more - creative showcases celebrating youth talent through art, music, and dance.

‍

Why join?

  • Get paid performance experience with real audiences
  • Be part of a community of young creatives and collaborators
  • Receive guidance and support from the YANZ team
  • Build your portfolio and confidence as a working artist

You don’t need to be a professional. We’re interested in passion, potential, and people who want to share their art.
