JOIN THE TEAM AT TE KĀHUI

Mā mua ka kite a muri, mā muri ka ora a mua.

We seek another co-manager to join our passionate team of indigenous creatives at Te Kāhui – Youth Arts New Zealand (YANZ).

This opportunity is open for applications until 5pm May 27th.

The Role:

Te Kāhui has been operating in Correctional facilities and communities across the motu since 2020. We empower accessible and equitable creative expression through tailored creative wānanga, remote booklets, publication opportunities and more.

We invite a passionate young person with leadership experience to apply for the co-manager position. Alongside our existing manager, you’ll oversee the operational, strategic and creative direction of the kaupapa.

We’re seeking candidates based, or willing to relocate to, Tāmaki Makaurau who can demonstrate their ability to work well in a team, centre indigenous empowerment, and communicate effectively to achieve co-designed creative outcomes. In this mahi, you’ll be coordinating with communities and Correctional Facilities hosting Te Kāhui, supporting the team in achieving our strategic and funding goals, and be supported in facilitating wānanga too! We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who are proactive, passionate, and excited about the kaupapa.

Being a part of Te Kāhui – Youth Arts New Zealand (YANZ) means:

  1. A personal development plan, tailored to how you want to grow your individual skills.
  2. Flexible working schedule, with the ability to work from home or our cosy, fully stocked office located in Parnell, Auckland. This role also has flexible hours to be discussed at the start of your time with us.
  3. Opportunities to meet lots of other creatives and foster a community network of support and talent.
  4. Team outings, events, and occasions to have lots of fun!‍
  5. A competitive compensation rate that recognises the value of your mahi within the industry.
