Kaipātiki Sounds Great is a musical event on Auckland’s North Shore that generates solidarity between the local highschools through the creation of an annual music festival, as well as other smaller musical events throughout the year. For 2 years running, we’ve worked with local musicians and crew on Auckland’s North Shore to produce ‘The Thing About Music’ - a night for collaborative interpretation of what music means to us as performers, an audience and a community. With previous special guests including Dave Baxter (Avalanche City) and Jamie McDell, this event is one which the YANZ team will continue to run for years to come.
The Social Innovation New Zealand Conference was an amazing opportunity to engage with the University community, and to talk about what young creatives need most.⠀
